Pirelli Calendar 2011.
As a true compliment to the nudity and art, Pirelli, the Italian tire company introduced the 2011 edition of his classic calendar. With
photographs taken by the renowned designer LAgerfeld and images that evoke a
Greco-Roman aesthetics, the big news is that for the first time in its
history, the proposal portraits men.

Published almost 40 years, this time also surprises us for its sober sensuality. The traditional Pirelli calendar, this time gave the German designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld his chance to shine.

Behind the lens, the designer has imposed his black and white trademark, in Mythology, a production that displayed all his talent immersed in one of his greatest passions: Greco-Roman deities.

Between light and dark sensual shadows, fifteen female models, actress Julianne Moore and, for the first time five men, got into the skin of gods and goddesses of antiquity.

Gods, heroes and heroines look, the company said in a statement, "carved from the point of view of aesthetic rigor as the continuous references to the art of sculpture and its classical canons."
